DEPRESSION! – “I am fine”

Depression is a DISEASE.

Depression is a disease nothing less than cancer, diabetes or even corona virus. Depression is a state when your mind has all the negative thoughts and you want to reach a conclusion.

Lets see exactly what depression is

Depression is a state of mental disorder. It can be described as feeling of negative thoughts, loss , anger in your day to day life.

  • More than 250 million people suffer from depression of all age groups
  • More women are affected than men
  • Depression can lead to suicide

It is estimated that 8.1 percent of adults ages 20 and over had depression from 2013- 2016.

Some of the outcomes are:

  • SUICIDE: Severe depression leads to suicide in most of the adults. Due to negative thoughts the brain stops thinking and it just eventually wants to end the pain. By ending oneself
  • DRUGS: To get your brain calm people start taking drugs and that relives the pain.
  • ALCOHOL: Little by little alcohol becomes starts flowing like your blood. alcohol keeps you numb and destroys you
  • CHAIN SMOKING: Smoking is the greatest addiction in adults. People consume 10 packets in a day. Smoking just ends you in killing

THE OUTCOMES EVENTUALLY ENDS YOU KILLING.

CAUSES

  1. DEATH/LOSS: when you looses someone very important in your life you feel depressed especially in young age. Taking that pain would away will be very difficult,
  2. FAILURE: Failure comes with give ups and people eventually give up in life.
  3. LONELINESS: Feeling lonely or feeling low not wanting to start a new day, when the sun starts hurting you, you are depressed.
  4. ABUSE: Physical or sexual abuse creates a bad memory and not wanting to forget. That pain is a lot to be forgotton.

Depression doesnt have a span. It can be for weeks, moths , days or even years. There are people who have been in depression like

Struggle and pain is real. I was devastated and depressed,” Johnson said in an interview “I reached a point where I didn’t want to do a thing or go anywhere. I was crying constantly.”“Took me a long time to realize it but the key is to not be afraid to open up.

Lets try to tackle depression

  • PSYCHOTHERAPY: Depression is loneliness. It can be best treated when you try to talk to someone. Telling all your problems would make you feel better.
  • EXERCISE: Everyday having a good workout can keep your brain occupied and make you feel better. It will be much better for chain smokers. Yoga is also a good form to reduce your depression.
  • GET SUPPORT: Be in regular contact with your family and friends. Join a group for socializing and diverting yourself.
  • TRAVELLING: Travelling to a new place getting a new environment would help you reduce depression. With family friends or even a alone trip would help.
  • SLEEP: Sleep has a strong effect on moods. If you dont have enough sleep your depression symptoms would become worse. Its important for your mind to relax. A human body needs to sleep for 7 hours to 9 hours of sleep.
  • NUTRITION: Eating properly is very important. Eating a well balanced diet would keep you energized and reduce your mood swings.
  • DANCING: I believe dancing on a random song by just yourself makes you feel happy and its also a good workout.
  • MEDICAL TREATMENT: Anti depressing medicines can reduce your symptons and give you proper sleep but medicines come with a side effects . Severe depression cannot be cured by medications.
  • MEDICATION: Medications help you with relaxing your mind and keeping you away with negative thoughts.

MY REASON TO WRITE A BLOG ON DEPRESSION.

This topic become serious for me when a man passes away overnight suffering 6 months of depression. We were struck because he was a celebrity but there are many people out there facing depression and many dont even come out with the pain because talking would be useless. Let this be the last case of depression if we start being nice.

I would say BE NICE. Be nice to everyone near you.If there is anyone facing this situation try contacting them, supporting them. A helping hand at this time would mean a lot TO HIM
